Position Summary
The Production Engineer oversees all operations of the wet wipes across multiple platforms to drive sales,
manage staff and achieve business objectives.
This position collaborates with all departments of the plant such as Purchase, Production & Planning,
Maintenance, Dispatch, Manpower etc.
This individual is an expert in all things related to running wet wipes machine. He needs to have in-depth
knowledge of the machinery, raw materials used and all other operations
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Production Engineer is to ensure the company stays on schedule with
regard to production and meets or exceeds the goals communicated by the Plant Head/Directors. This
includes the following:
 To manage day to day operations.
 To ensure all production objectives are met & oversee the production activities and personnel
including shift schedules.
 To effectively plan the inventory of raw materials and finished goods.
 To ensure and oversee the purchase department for in-time supply of raw materials.
 To oversee that quality objectives of the company are met across all levels.
 To ensure and oversee the maintenance department for timely maintenance in order to prevent
machine breakdowns.
 To coordinate with all department heads of Purchase, Production & Maintenance department for
smooth flow of work.
 To identify and address operational problems in a timely fashion
 To generate daily progress reports for the reporting authority to review.
 To identify the recruitment needs if any and communicate to the reporting authority for approval
followed by recruitment and training of personnel.
 To develop standards, systems and best practices across various departments to ensure a result
oriented work culture.
 To advice and give recommendations to the reporting authority on materials, supplies,
equipment, vendors, scope for product development etc.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
 Minimum of a BE or Diploma Holder in Mechanical or Electrical, ideally with an MBA or related
advanced degree
 At least 8 years of overall professional experience and at least 5 years in wet wipes industry
 Expertise required in all major business software. SAP skills are mandatory
